Achievements across Dungeon Crawler Carl
Achievements are one of the crawl's most visible reward systems. They recognize actions, assign status, trigger loot, and give the System AI a channel for commentary. The joke or humiliation in an achievement description can be entertaining, but the reward often changes what a crawler can do next.
Triggers and rewards
An achievement begins with a qualifying action: surviving a rare danger, discovering a mechanic, performing for the audience, killing a threat, or doing something the system considers unusual. Rewards can include loot boxes, equipment, skills, access, reputation, or information. Some achievements matter immediately; others become important only when a later situation makes their reward useful.
The AI's voice
Achievement announcements are also characterization. Their wording reveals the System AI's tastes, grudges, obsessions, and changing relationship with Carl. Tracking tone alongside rewards helps show how the supposedly neutral game interface becomes an active presence in the story.
