Overview
Chapter 8 converts the party's choice to avoid Signet into a coerced quest. Mordecai's saferoom espionage proves useful but too late, Brandon's message keeps the Meadow Lark survivors in continuity, and Signet's Water Lily spell removes Donut from the active fight. The chapter ends by setting up Carl's first solo boss battle and forcing him to act without his usual partner.
