Dungeon Crawler Carl graphic-novel projects
Dungeon Crawler Carl has two visual-print threads that can be confused: Dungeon Crawler Carl: Crocodile, an original in-universe side story, and print material derived from the WEBTOON adaptation. They should be tracked separately because their story purpose and canon relationship are different.
Dungeon Crawler Carl: Crocodile
Crocodile is the first official original graphic-novel expansion of the Dungeon Crawler Carl universe. The official BackerKit campaign credits series creator Matt Dinniman, writer Michael Moreci, artist Brett Bean, and Vault Comics. It follows Florin DuPont during the First Floor period and is designed as a side story rather than a panel-by-panel retelling of Carl's first book.
The campaign ended November 10, 2025 after raising more than $2.6 million from more than 26,000 backers. Fulfillment and general-release details can change, so the campaign and publisher channels remain the source of truth rather than fan estimates.
WEBTOON and print collection
The official WEBTOON adapts Carl and Princess Donut's main story. A print collection of those episodes preserves adaptation continuity; it is not Crocodile and should not be described as the Florin side story. See Dungeon Crawler Carl Webtoon Tracker for the current episode checkpoint.
Canon boundary
Crocodile is presented as an official in-universe expansion, while the WEBTOON is an adaptation of the novels. Visual designs or scene changes from either project should be labeled with their source. Use Book Canon vs Adaptation Canon when a detail differs between versions.
